DAY #14: The Elusive Magician ~ Uranus

GOOD NEWS!  Mars has opened at LEA 4.  Stop by to see the newest planet, and be sure to listen to the music as you march over the brink to see what Mars has in store for you!

To Uranus, the Magician
by Caledonia Skytower

I look for you in the swirl
light, ethereal essence,
a constant churn of echoes,
lessons vaguely remembered.

The brightness obscures
the deeper purpose.
the motion hides steps
leading to surety.

Yet I remember the scent
aftershave of antique charm,
the disarming glint of
humorous hazel eyes.

You left before goodbyes
could connect the edges
left by your loss, a whorl,
coiling, bewitching.

Looking through the haze
of memory and divination
I hear your voice speak,
the word that is my name.

The child me runs
little heeding the conjury,
desperate for the enchantment
of your joyous embrace.
